The GenCyber Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) is offering two summer camps targeted to high school students (rising 8th to 12th grade). The two camps will be offered in two weeks: July 16 – 20 and July 23 – 27. Each camp will run a 40-hour week, 9am – 5pm on Monday – Friday. Students will be exposed to cryptography, network security and digital forensics. Students will learn correct and safe online behaviors and cyber security ethics while having fun.

Each camp will enroll 20 students. The deadline for applications is Friday, June 8, 2018. Each applicant must complete, print and sign the application form. Students can submit their applications in one of the following ways.

The complete application package must include the following:
• The application form completed and signed by the student. Click Here to download the application form.
• Students must be rising 8th through 12th grade for the 2018-2019 academic years.
• A copy of official high school transcript, indicating the student’s GPA.
• A typed essay “Why do you want to attend the GENCYBER Summer Program, and why can the camp benefit you.”
• Letter of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation must be included in package. Letters must be typed on official letterhead (notebook paper is not acceptable). One letter must come from a representative from your school (i.e., Career and Technical Education instructor, science, math, or counselor).

All applicants will be notified of acceptance by email on June 12, 20018 and will receive an official email.
